Ingredients used in our Superbly Simple Signature Bath Bomb Formula: Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda), Citric Acid, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa), Polysorbate 80, Isopropyl Alcohol, Potassium Bitartrate (Cream of Tartar), Kaolin Clay, colorant and Fragrance oil.
Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) – Many different industries use backing soda. From cleaning products and food to hair care, skin care, bath and body products. It gives the skin a silky and soft feeling. Soothes sunburnt, acne and bug bitten skin. It helps exfoliate the skin and when added with lemon juice, it can remove spray tans. It is also said to have other helpful benefits. More information can be found here*.
Citric Acid – This too is an ingredient that is used in many industries. In the bath it can help soften your water and help produce more foam. It is responsible for the fizzing. It is an antioxidant that can help with acne, unclog pores, shrink pores, improve fine lines, wrinkles and brighten the skin. Citric acid can also help remove dead skin cells to make way for new ones. More information can be found here*.
Polysorbate 80 is an emulsifier and helps to mix oils and water. This benefits fragrance oils, carrier oils and the colorants. It blends them into your bath water, instead of leaving an oil slick on top of the water.
Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol) is used as a binding agent. It allows the other ingredients harden in our products. It is also used with dye, lake and mica colorant to bath and skin friendly paints. (Yes! We blend our own paints!)
Potassium Bitartrate (Cream of Tartar) is used for a few reasons. It helps the products harden. It also helps to slow down the fizz speed of the bath bombs.
Kaolin Clay is a fine-grained clay with mild absorption properties, which makes it great for your skin. It also helps the bath bombs hold their shapes and harden. It is also superb to soak in. Clay has drawing abilities, minerals and detoxification properties.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa) - Is an organic gentle surfactant. A foaming and cleansing agent. It helps to wet body surfaces, emulsify or solubilize oils. It is often confused with the harsher Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). The two ingredient names look and sound very similar, but are very different. We do not use SLS in our products. SLSa is completely safe for most skin types, including sensitive skin. SLSa removes oils and bacteria without irritating the skin. More information can be found here*.
Buttermilk powder is made from the natural process of making butter. Its reported to have skin softening and moisturizing benefits with a creamy lather foam.
Goats Milk Powder helps to moisturize the skin. Water reconstitutes the milk powder, giving the bath water a lush and silky texture. This powder also contains linoleic acid and other essential fatty acids. This can be very nourishing to the skin and help to even out skin tone.
Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Powder) is an excellent preparation to use for skin conditions such as allergies, abscesses, fungal infections, pyoderma, and many types of dermatitis. Wounds and burns respond particularly well to Aloe Vera. It can aid the natural healing processes and help to keep the wound or burn moist and supplied with nutrients.
Honey and Maltodextrin (Honey Power) is a natural antiseptic and antimicrobial and will free unwanted dirt and dead skin cells, allowing you to rinse them away. Honey Powder has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that will actively defend your skin against acne and future breakouts.
Fragaria Ananassa (Strawberry Fruit Powder) is rich in Polyphenols and Vitamin C, has astringent properties and is a great toner that helps to reduce the appearance of pores.
Musa Paradisiaca (Banana Fruit Powder) is rich in potassium and Vitamin A. In formulations it has proven to be great for dry skin, and contains no known substance to aggravate or irritate the skin.
Avena sativa (Colloidal Oatmeal) binds to your skin and forms a protective barrier. It also helps hold in moisture and ease inflammation. If that isn't enough, it cleans your skin, too.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Seed Oil) has a variety of healing properties that may make it effective in treating skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
Rosa canina Fruit Oil (Rosehip Oil) is rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, which are integral for tissue and cell regeneration in the skin. It has been said to help reduce scars and fine lines.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E Oil) helps protect the skin from damage. It's also said to reduce inflammation and make your skin look younger. It can help repair dry and damaged skin.

Infused (CBD Isolate) is used as a topical product, meaning, it is absorbed by the skin. Many who have tried CBD in bath products typically use them for general de-stressing and relaxation, but there may be so much more that the CBD bath products can offer. The hot water can open pores and allow the bath bomb to penetrate deeper, absorbing more CBD into the body.
